Ronald J. Smeberg

Ron Smeberg represents debtors in bankruptcy matters and has an extensive track record of resolving complex financial matters both in and out of bankruptcy.  His accomplishments include reorganizing a public company in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy as well as being one of very few attorneys who has successfully prosecuted an involuntary bankruptcy proceeding through trial, resulting in a multi-million dollar judgment.  Ron has handled numerous cases involving corporate formation, governance, mergers, and acquisitions.  In addition, he has extensive trial experience and in both federal and state courts and has managed more than 65 litigation and bankruptcy attorneys who have made court appearances in 45 states.   

Ron received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center in 2003.  He has served in the U.S. military as a noncommissioned officer in the U.S. Marine Corpsas an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, and is a recipient of the  Ericson Trophy from the U. S. Army National Guard.
